Willie Alphonse: Executive Director

Willie has been a counsellor at Nenqayni since September 2008. Prior to his couselling work he was a member of the Nenqayni Board of Directors since 1992 serving as Board Chair for over four years. As a member of the Northern Shuswap Nation, Willie has been the Chief of the Williams Lake Indian Band for ten years. Willie moved into his current position December 21st 2009. Jim Chorney: Operations Director

Jim has worked at Nenqayni Wellness Centre as Operations Director for over 5 years. His education background includes a B.A. and M.A. plus Journeyman Carpenter Certification. Jim has had 5 years experience as a construction contractor, 18 years senior administration in post secondary education and 7 years in health and safety management. Jim's interests include: volunteer adult literacy tutor, local economic development volunteer work, eclectic reading interests, photography and fishing whenever possible! Ralph Wright: Clinical Director

Ralph has been with Nenqayni Wellness Centre since 2002. His background is teaching, administration and counseling. Ralph is working towards completion of his PhD.The research he has undertaken looks at vicarious traumatization of counselors. Ralph's outside interests include practicing yoga, Pilates and playing golf. Ralph also enjoys playing with his grandchildren. Joan Evans: Intake Coordinator - Family Drug & Alcohol Program

Joan has been at Nenqayni Wellness Centre since 1996, she brings her experience with both the Youth Program and the Family Program to her current position. Joan receives applications on a regular basis which keep her very busy. Outside of work Joan also enjoys continued learning and is often assisting with various committees at Nenqayni Wellness Centre such as the Wellness Committee and organizing "Fun Day" for staff and clients. In her spare time Joan enjoys spending time with her family and a particular highlight - her two grandchildren. Joan has recently taken up jogging and she enjoys reading. (250)989-0301 Ext. 206
 

Sharon Duffy: Intake Coordinator - Youth & Family Inhalant Program

Sharon has worked at Nenqayni Wellness Centre since 1997. She started out as a recovery care worker and then moved into the Intake Coordinator position. Sharon's background is administration and mental health. Some of the courses taken include: Community Mental Health Certificate, First Nations Health & Healing, Tsilhqot'in language, Women's Studies, Organizational Behavior, SASSI (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory)Trainers training and Aboriginal Health & Community Administration Certificate (UBC). Outside of work Sharon enjoys many outdoor activities. Comments: Sharon enjoys her job; especially meeting people from all over Canada. Norah Gregor: Continuing Care Coordinator

Norah has been at Nenqayni since 1996, she brings over 20 years of counselling experience. Norah's training includes: nursing, domestic violence, Children Who Witness Violence, Victims Assistance, Crisis Intervention, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Suicide Prevention, Sexual Abuse, and Crystal Methamphetamine Specialist Training. When not working Norah enjoys family, gardening and caring for animals. Norah also is active in her community and volunteers with community groups. (250)989-0301 Ext. 210
