The Nenqayni Wellness Centre (www.nenqayni.com) is a residential alcohol
and drug treatment centre, funded by Health Canada, providing holistic
healing to First Nations and Inuit youth, families and communities in
a safe and secure environment. We are located approximately twenty one
kilometers north of Williams Lake on a secluded section (the old ski
hill) of the Soda Creek Reserve.
Nenqayni welcomes unsolicited applications or enquires regarding employment
and career opportunities, particularly from recent graduates of relevant
post secondary education.
Our clinical staff positions include three levels of counseling staff
- from entry level coaching positions to senior counselors delivering
the treatment program, including one-on-one and group therapy and confidential
file management.
Our support staff positions include administration, accounting, maintenance,
custodial and nutrition services.
Preferably, successful candidates will be of aboriginal descent, and
have a Class 4 Driver's License or be willing to get one within the customary
six month probationary period. Reliable transportation to and from Nenqayni
is required.

Jim Chorney: Operations Director
Jim has worked Nenqayni Wellness Centre as Operations
Director for 2 years. His educational background is BA, MA, journeyman
carpenter certification. Jim has had 5 years experience as a construction
contractor, 18 years senior administration in post secondary education
and 7 years in health and safety management. Jim's interests include: volunteer
adult literacy tutor, local economic development volunteer work, eclectic
reading interests, photography and fishing whenever possible!
